Dragonfly Forge Kwaiken

Another great blade by Terry :)
Kris Cutlery used to make a little kwaiken like this and I always meant to get one but never did, during a conversation with Terry I said as much and Terry said he'd be happy to make me one.I sent him a pic and he exceeded my expectations!
Kwaiken are a very small tanto, the kind of thing that would be carried in a kimino sleeve usually by a woman as a utility knife or even a last ditch self defense weapon.
This one measures about 200mm in its saya, blade length is 110mm including copper habaki, the false edge on the top starts 60mm back from the tip.I'm not sure of the name of this sugata, maybe someelse would care to fill me in on that. The saya is a combination of meranti and I think camphor laruel, I didnt ask for the 2 timbers so it was a very pleasant surprise when I saw it,looks very classy.
Thanks Terry for a great addition to my ever increasing tanto collection.
Shown here with a Chen Prac Plus tanto for scale

I love it ! Its the smallest tanto-like knife I've ever seen. Dare I ask how much a piece like this is worth ? If a price can be put to it! :) It looks really great. I'm very jealous Ron. I've only really seen very small Japanese tanto blades (not even this small), years ago in the British museum.

Terry, how long did it take to complete it: blade, saya and all ??

you'll have to ask Terry that one Chop, he and I do a bit of trading so price is a bit blurry in dollar terms.
